A New Place for the New Year? Who Knows?!

Before the internet highway gets busy, let me greet you a Happy New Year. We  have so much to thank for the year that was, and I know we are all looking forward to the year to come, 2011. It will be a year of the Rabbit. But it is more of metal rabbit. Being born in 1975, I am a wood rabbit. Whether it is my year or your year based on the Chinese sign, let us make the new year a year to be a better person not only for ourselves but for our family, friends , and partners.

Speaking of partners, my significant others sent an early New Year greetings. That made me so happy. But a little pressured. He will visit again in July in time for his annual vacation. Last July 2010, he was here and we spent two day together before he gets back to US to report to the Main Station.

We spent it in Manila since he had little time to go out of town. Robinson's Place was the nearest mall in the hotel. Little did I know, whenever he had time alone (to go to the CR), he visited several booths or stalls offering condo units around the area.

He shared it to me on the following day. He said he was looking for a place for us to buy when we settle down after his retirement. He showed me several flyers. And I tell you, both of us agreed that we do not want a condo unit because it means no gardening to me and he would not have a good space to do his barbeque. We were both hesistant on the spaces offered in the condo unit. Though as a foreigner, it will easier for him to get a condo, but both of us wanted a bigger space. Since we have plans to get married in the future, it would  not be an issue for him to get a house here.

He mentioned that a colleague from work suggested that he gets a piece of land in Bulacan. I told him that we should get one anywhere in Cavite or Laguna. Or in the southern part of Manila like Las Pinas, Paranaque, or Muntinlupa. These places are nearer to the airport. If in Bulacan, it would be a tedious travel from north to south.

So we agreed already on that. One more problem to solve is where in south. I checked on the papers and there are impressive places and prices for houses for sale. I collected the papers and clipped them. I have then scanned and sent them to him. It was a tedious work. I turned online. I looked for a website where we both can look at and discuss at the same time. I found this house for sale in AyosDito.ph. I immediately sent the link to him last month. I personally love the house design since we both can do what we like to best - gardening, cooking and baking. We need more rooms too since he has two sons and I have my family who might visit us every now and then.

The balcony space is also good for holding parties or better yet fill them with plants and chairs for morning relaxation. I have inquired about the house and sent him the details. This is one of our agenda when he comes for a visit in July. In case we will have a change of heart, there are more houses for sale that we can check in the areas that we both like.

Does this mean a new place for the new year? Well, who knows?
